Can Nicotine combat COVID?

Can Nicotine combat COVID?

Scientists are working around the clock to find a vaccine to combat the latest strain of coronavirus, and many are now using nicotine of all things as a baseline.

On top of that, nicotine patch trials are currently underway.

The research is showing not only vapers, but also smokers, could be immune to contracting COVID-19, or at the very least seen to not be developing serious complications.

This new research into vapers and smokers being less likely to contract the virus contradicts a lot of the current writing during the course of the pandemics. UK experts have come to the conclusion that there was zero risk from vaping, but were fairly confident in stating that smokers were at risk.

In reality, based on the new evidence this theory seems to have less standing, especially in the case of smokers.

In recent weeks, France have begun testing nicotine patches as a method to help combat the COVID virus. Researchers from the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital are seeing quite astounding results with the use of nicotine as a COVID treatment.

In a statement, they say there is strong evidence to suggest that those who smoke every day are much less likely to develop a symptomatic/sever infection with COVID-19, in comparison to the rest of the populous.

It seems the science is definitely pointing us in the right direction that nicotine could be more of a wonder drug than people first thought?
